Hello, everyoneee! Guess who? 8D

Well i won't tell you just yet who I am. But you're welcomed to take a guess. I am loud, NOT noisy. Haha.

By the way, it's November already! And school will end in no time. hm. I know you're excited bout that but anyone noticed how fast time hops? Anyone missed CU already? I hope someone does. Haha. How was your 2010 with us? Well, I hope and pray that CU has made an impact in your life. More than anything, i hope you've enjoyed your time during our meetings and felt at home in school. :)

So, here's to an even greater 2011! Hopefully we'll grow not only in numbers but in strength. So come(even to just chill!), talk to us, make yourselves at home and don't forget to bring your friends! Hope to see you all soon! And, don't forget to keep that fire burning for Jesus :D

A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy man keeps a secret.

   A very close friend of mine shared a short video with me that she had made on the Internet. She asked me to not send it to anyone. It was so hilarious. She had used a photo of herself in the video and she was the main attraction of the humor. Every time that I would watch it, I would burst out in laughter. One afternoon shortly afterwards, I had about four friends visiting at my house who were all pretty close friends of this woman. I asked them if she had sent the video to them? Everyone said no. I proceeded to tell them how it was so funny but I did not give any details. One of the ladies said "show it to us" and I replied "I can't, she asked me not to share it with anyone." Then one of the gentlemen who was there said "come on she won't care." So I gave in and we watched and laughed together.

   Very soon afterward I talked to her and told here that I had shown them. She was very upset with me and I tried to defend myself by saying that she did not tell me I couldn't show anyone the video, she had asked me not to email it to anyone. I could tell that she was not going to let me off the hook. Two days later the conviction of the Lord came on me and I called her and admitted to her my wrong doing. In the coming days, I noticed she was acting very different towards me. She was not nearly as friendly as she usually was.

   Two weeks had past now since I had betrayed my friends confidence, she was still acting very distant towards me. One afternoon I was having lunch with the youth pastor from my church. While we were eating, we began to talk about gossip and how it causes problems. Then he said that he had once heard an illustration of what gossip was like. "Gossip is like taking a feather pillow with one end open and slinging the feathers everywhere, no matter how hard you try to clean all the feathers, it takes a long time to pick up the mess."

   Jesus can be all things to all people. He has time and time again through the Gospels and through every day life shown that He is still relevant today. There is this guy, Aaron. Aaron was walking through a Christian book store when he noticed different paintings showing Jesus doing everyday jobs in today’s settings. They looked amazing and displayed how to show the image of Christ in each work environment. He had to laugh when he pictured Jesus doing what he have done the past several years, being a DJ.

   Let's just imagine Jesus up in the booth behind his turntables with spiked hair, cool shades and a robe. Would that be a sight or what! You could be curious about what He would do to interact. What if a young man requested to have latest Paramore song, Who knows what will happen?

   Aaron took a few minutes and tried to visualize the different aspects of what he do at work and how Jesus would deal with them. he know one of the most annoying aspects of his job is when people request a song that he know will not fit the set that his is currently in. Aaron tell them that he will play it and after every song they continue to come up to me asking why it is taking so long. What they don’t understand is that soon as the time is right and the moment hits, he will play their song in the perfect spot. Not a moment too soon, but not a moment too late either.

   Aaron then stopped in his tracks as he realized how God works in our lives already. How often do we have a request and get so impatient when it takes longer than expected? When you want an answer now, a miracle immediately, and the seas don’t part at the very moment you ask for them to. God knows how to read His crowd. He knows when and how everything works, after all didn’t He create our setlist? When the time is right, He’ll play your song.

If God exists, why is there suffering in world?

One reason that God sends suffering is to discipline His people when they are going astray. The Bible tells us that just as human fathers lovingly discipline their children, so God disciplines all who belong to Him. (Heb 12:5-11) Suffering will also help refine our character and build our trust in him.

It also exists because that is one way to bring people to Him. If your life is a smooth-sailing cruise, you won't seek God's help. These sufferings will provide an opportunity for us to show yourselves and others of His glory. A few bumps or two will help you draw closer to God and strengthen your relationship with Him as you find comfort in Him.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.” (2 Cor 1:3-5). And thus we see that it also prepares us to help and comfort others who are suffering.

The early believers even counted it an honor to suffer for the sake of Christ (Acts 5:41, Phil 1:29, Matt 5:10-12). The apostle Paul wrote “we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us” (Rom 5:3-5).

The Bible also shows us examples where God brought much good out of evil and suffering. In Genesis 37, Joseph’s jealous brothers betrayed him and sold him to some travelers who in turn sold him in Egypt to the Pharaoh’s captain of the guard. But rather than becoming bitter, Joseph faithfully served both God and his master and became his master’s most trusted servant.

Suffering and tragedy may also be sent by God as a warning to ungodly people. In such cases, though we may consider it to be judgment in one sense, it is also a mercy, an opportunity for them to realize where they are headed and repent before they are eternally condemned. Proverbs 29:1 warns us that “He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.” So when a person or a nation persists in rebellion against God, God will eventually bring irrevocable judgment.

God has his own ways in teaching us how to share the gospel with non-believers. All we have to do is be attentive to His timing and surroundings. I have a testimony about this.

It happened one month ago when my friend and I were just randomly singing in the class during free period. We were singing worship songs that we just couldn’t get off our heads. As we were singing the song, suddenly another friend of mine came up and wanted to hear us sing. She is a non-believer and seemed interested on what we were singing. So my friend and I were wondering if this might be a chance to share the gospel with her. At first, we didn’t take the initiative to do it because we thought that she wasn’t interested in hearing. So we continued singing and she gave some comments about it. That’s when, my friend thought that she might want to know, asked her if she wants to know about God and the bible.

To our surprise, she said she had been thinking about this and she had some unanswered questions about Christianity. We were shocked at first when she first told us, but we managed to answer all her questions about Him and praise the Lord that she wants to know Jesus more. We shared with her how Jesus died on the cross and had gone through many sufferings just to save us so we could go to heaven with God.

So, we asked her if she would really want to watch the Passion of Christ to get a picture of how Jesus went through the torture and His sufferings for us. I will never forget what she said which was,”Yes! I want to know. My mum also wants to know about this for a long time but no one did actually share with us anything about it. So we didn’t really ask much. Now I have the opportunity to.”

See, God can do many things without us knowing. Like this incident, people could know more about what God is all about. So, take the initiative! Never know how God could work right! Amen! Klang is for Christ! Remember that. =)

Christ-likeness

I remember I had a friend (more of an acquaintance, actually) that I met about a year ago.

She was a friend of a friend. We got to know each other a little bit and I found that she is quite a cool person to hang out with. I know that she curses and talks dirty and ditch classes and does not bother to pass an exam, but she had a sense of humour and she's just that type of girl that can keep a conversation going.

I had fun talking to her, until she told me she was Christian. And she said it very very proudly.

Think about this. If she were talking to a non-Christian, how would that person react? If it were me, I would think, "Whoa, this is how Christians go about?" I would have a very bad impression of Christianity.

As Christians, we should always watch how we talk and how we act. Because there are always people out there who wants to find fault in us and bring us down. They watch us and scrutinize every little detail. (Okay okay, maybe not to that extent, but still..)

Instead, we should always set a good example for others to see. Then maybe, just maybe, they'll want to give Christ a chance.

So you see, acting Christ-like is also another way of sharing the Gospel. You are actually sort of telling your classmates about Christ when you do all your work and have proper manners in class.

Be the change that you want to see in the world

Remember Moses?

He trusted god. When he bringing the Israelites out of Egypt , he actually didn't know where to go , he could only depend on the pillar of cloud to guide them by day and pillar of fire to guide them at night, so that they could travel day and night. You know right? Those days they do not have ''KOMPAS''. =)

When it come to our life, we face so much problems in our life. Problems can help us build up our faith and grow in Christ. Cool right ? :D If you have any problem just make a phone call (pray) to our heavenly father . I promise you , he will anwser our prayer.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."

That, my dear friends, is my most favourite verse from the Bible.

Why, I hear you ask, out of all the verses, I love that particular one the most?

Because that is one of the verses to know during times of hardship and tribulation.

The verse is very straightforward. The Lord says that whatever it is that happens, no matter how bad it may seem at the moment, you just have to always remember that whatever happens, happens for a reason and the reason is always good.

I have been put to test maaany times and I just have to remember that it will all do me good one day. And it always brings me peace.

Take, for example, a murderer being sent to jail. He might think, why? But it'll all do him good cause then he will most probably not murder again. Get it?

Or, when MGS lost the debate. They were all quite jolly actually, because then, they can fully concentrate on their studies or whatever it was they were concentrating on before the debate.

So there. Next time, when something you think is very very bad happens, just remember Jeremiah 29:11.

The Bible tells us of God's great love for us. This is expressed in what my friend called the best love note she had ever received. It is found in 1 John 3:16.

God loves us like no one else ever could. He showed that love when He sent His Son, Jesus, to be our Savior. He's also the best companion we'll ever have because He will never leave you nor forsake you. (Joshua 1:5).
